Whether we realize it or not, we have lots of karma or not, whether we are Hindu or not, it has no importance because, beyond the limitations of this body that we have imposed, that we love and nothing else. When we light the lamps during Diwali we therefore remind ourselves what we really are. You do not just turn on the light outside, but you must turn on the light in you and realize that this light is not only you, but it is everywhere. The Divine is not limited, it is everywhere.
There are people who will say: 'But Swamiji, I do not see this light. Finally, I can see it only once. " You all know it, is not it? At night, when you look at the sky, you see many stars, you can tell how beautiful it is, as it is wonderful to see all these stars shine. But during the day, if you look at the sky, you do not see these stars. Do you think they are not there? Do you think they come only at night? No, they are still there! Similarly, the interior light is always present. When you do your Sadhana, when you really want this love, when you sincerely ask the Divine: 'Allow this light to shine! " then you become an instrument of that light, then it will shine through you.
