Be honest with yourself

Everybody wants to be happy, everyone seeks happiness, no? But if you really, really happy, you must be honest with yourself. Then you can ask God to give you joy. Do you deny Him? No! There you will. But it is you to stay in this state of joy, to keep this joy and let it grow.

Bedroom Colours And Coad

Sometimes when you practice, you do not see results, but it does not matter. Later, you'll results. It's like when you plant a seed, you do not expect to have a big tree the next day. If you plant an apple tree, you will not have a big tree full of apples the next day. What are you doing? You sprinkle every day with the expectation that it will grow, but in your mind, you see already a big tree with nice apples. It will take probably 20 or 30 years, but it did not matter. You planted the tree, you know what you expect and you know it will come. It's the same with spirituality, you practice, whether Kriya, the Japam ... and you know you will reach the Divine, you will realize the Divine. Be patient while as you are patient when you plant a tree. The fruits are very soft and sweet. Like a plant, grows when it faces many challenges, many winds and storms will occur, be rooted, so you will not uproot.

Vifeo Incesti Italiani

Be Patient On the lap of the Divine Mother

As I said during Navaratri, 'Be like a child, sit on the lap of the Divine Mother, and let the whole do for you. " As Christ said: To enter the kingdom of God, you must be like a child. And it's true. When you are as a child, you surrender to the Divine Will, you surrender to the will of the Divine Mother. Mother support you, will you, feed you, but you must eat! It is the same with the master and each person follows a different master, a different path and all paths are good, all paths are good, but the master does not work for you, it will show you the way, but you have to walk. Sometimes the teacher will take you, but the Divine Mother takes you all the time. That's the love of a mother, right? So, let the Divine Love awaken in you. Make your spiritual practice and each time you practice, do it with love and joy.

I Need A Doujin Moe Account

Why waste your time?

As Mahavatar Babaji said: why waste your time? Surrender yourself to simply love. If animals can do, as humans can do even better. You all know how to love, right? Who does not know how to love? Everybody knows! When your mind is calm, you feel that love. When you stop trying to understand the Divine with your mind, He will reveal to you.

How useful to have a great knowledge? Become that Love

How useful to have a great knowledge when you can not even understand yourself? If knowledge can not lead you to understand completely, hang on tightly to the devotion, faith in you. Plus you have faith in yourself, the Divine within you, the more there will be love. So you see how spirituality is something easy. You do not need to run very far, you just need to run from there (pointing to head) to there (pointing to heart)

Diwali 2009 (part 4): The light that burns, the love that burns inside of you

The clay lamp is very symbolic, we say: 'God, You are the light, and we are the rod. " It is the connection we have with the Divine. And clay lamp represents our body, it symbolizes that our body is only dust and dust is because one day we will leave. Our body does not remain the same, it changes, until we leave. The lamp symbolizes our burning clay body that is similar to the medium of clay, with a burning, burning light, the love that burns inside of you.

Diwali 2009 (Part 3): The same light that shines in you, me, everyone

Diwali allows us to remember that inner light that is present in every person in every part of God's creation and not just us sitting there to celebrate Diwali. You can think of being more special than anyone else because you're sitting there , but no, it's not like that. We are not special, you know. When we think of ourselves be closer to the Divine is wrong! It is our ignorance that makes us think that we are special because God loves everyone the same way. And it's the same light that shines in you, in me, everyone. It just takes time to see it. When your mind will be calm, when your heart is completely open, you see, and feel this light, you feel that love, and that is the true meaning of Diwali.

Diwali 2009 (part 2): The Divine is not limited, it is everywhere

Whether we realize it or not, we have lots of karma or not, whether we are Hindu or not, it has no importance because, beyond the limitations of this body that we have imposed, that we love and nothing else. When we light the lamps during Diwali we therefore remind ourselves what we really are. You do not just turn on the light outside, but you must turn on the light in you and realize that this light is not only you, but it is everywhere. The Divine is not limited, it is everywhere.
There are people who will say: 'But Swamiji, I do not see this light. Finally, I can see it only once. " You all know it, is not it? At night, when you look at the sky, you see many stars, you can tell how beautiful it is, as it is wonderful to see all these stars shine. But during the day, if you look at the sky, you do not see these stars. Do you think they are not there? Do you think they come only at night? No, they are still there! Similarly, the interior light is always present. When you do your Sadhana, when you really want this love, when you sincerely ask the Divine: 'Allow this light to shine! " then you become an instrument of that light, then it will shine through you.

Diwali 2009 (Part 1): Our inner light

The festival of Diwali is here to remind us of our inner light, to remind us that we are that light. When we light the little oil lamp external to us, it symbolizes our inner light, which must also be lit. From the darkness, the light will shine. So from our own darkness created by the mind from darkness we create intentionally or unintentionally, we ask the Divine to bring out the light. We're so caught up in our daily routine that we often forget that light, we forget why we're here, we forget our true purpose and we forget the love that is in us all. Putting limits, but what about what we feel? What is this love that we are looking all the time? We forget. So Diwali reminds us that we are that light and we are forever the light.

The Werewolf, origin and representation of a social fantasy

Illustration by Jean-Mathias Xavier after Louis on the novel by Jean-Luc Galoup Marcatel, published by New Angle

I. The symbolism of the wolf

Emblematic of the violence and evil, the werewolf is present in almost all civilizations since ancient times. Derived from fear of the wolf, he surrounded himself at different times of magic, see Devil's curse. In the Middle Ages all possible malformations or abnormal behavior, immoral excuses were good enough to be accused of witchcraft, and sometimes being a werewolf. One example is the son of priests or nuns who were mostly suspected of being, being born into the forbidden. If scientists try to find rational explanations, the Germanic peoples believe that the soul can leave the body and take the form of an animal. It should also specify that the transformation of man into an animal is not confined only to the wolf but can also adapt to other animals such as bears with Scandinavian berserkers and men tigers in India. These stories of men thus adapts animals according to local wildlife. The presence of the werewolf is present on all continents and forms a very popular myth today, returning from elsewhere in vogue.

a. The animal through the popular consciousness
Once the word was pronounced wolf in the Middle Ages, the terror was visible on the faces. A true beast of the devil, and associated with danger to the kingdom of the dead, the wolf knows a bad reputation mainly since antiquity. Regarded as the type of wild beast devouring and insatiable hunger, it also said "having a hungry wolf, his teeth are instruments of violence and its mouth is dark menacing. In Norse mythology, a son of Fenrir eats the sun at the time of Ragnarok, giving way to total darkness. Fenrir is a wolf representing the infernal energies and evil that is supposed to devour the chief god, Odin. Similarly, the wolf is the animal of Mars, Roman god of war, as in Egypt where the god of war and god of the dead Ophoïs has a wolf's head.
This animal evokes the savage instincts, untamed nature. But the unbridled energy that is lost to man's mastery. In Italy, for example, lupa is a prostitute. If

is seen as fierce and deadly, like the wolf is also associated with courage and endurance. Formerly, a tooth of wolf hung around the necks of horses so that they are indefatigable. The feminine side of the wolf, the wolf is instead perceived as good, protective and nurturing. It is a wolf who raised Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome, but Mowgli, the wild child of the book by Rudyard Kipling. The wolf is also a place more interesting and sometimes very important in fairy tales.

b. The big bad wolf, terror tales
Character very present in the tales, the wolf is the representation of the struggle of man against his primary instincts, desires, is the temptation incarnate. The animal confronts the person itself, facing its impulses that can be described as devouring, ie sexual desires and anger, envy, or cruelty.
In the tale of Little Red Riding Hood by Charles Perrault, the little girl, after talking to the wolf can not keep from picking strawberries to watch animals in the forest while the wolf he eats the great- mother. Instead of walking directly to the village, Little Red Riding Hood gives in to temptation and idleness offered by the forest. It is a fine example of the association of the wolf to the dangerous seduction. It is also said in the story the wolf takes each time a honeyed voice and nice to somehow seduce the girl.

But as he is the werewolf?

II. What is a werewolf?

a. Its appearance and development
As he stated in the introduction, it appears from the ancient myths as with that of King Lycaon. Bloodthirsty, the king receives Zeus disguise as a human and who, after being received into the king's house, said to be the king of gods. Wanting to test this assertion serves food Lycaon god in human flesh. Enraged, Zeus transforms the outcast of humanity in transforming into a wolf, just as bloodthirsty animal that is decimating the herds. But the curse does not stop there. Lycaon is also ordered to keep the memory of his human condition. From ancient times the symbol of metamorphosis appears as a representation of exile in relation to men while maintaining a link with them. A person who is transformed into the margins of society. Far from focusing on the shores of the Mediterranean, the myth of the werewolf also finds its place in Iceland where a text of the XIII century tells the story of a werebear . Similarly in the fifth century in China becomes an official tiger. In the Middle Ages, the fear is only obliged to increase the morbid belief in witchcraft and the devil. The werewolf is then someone who had a curse or must expiate his sins. Moreover, it is often said that the curse lasted seven years (the number 7 has great symbolic value in most cultures and religions, it is often the perfect ) or that werewolves are "every night and go seven parishes a tour of seven towers.

We can see that the belief in these transformations into a wolf or other predator that inspires fear goes back very far, and if today the werewolf is a chimera, it was taken seriously at least until 1574 when a court ruling sentencing a man to be devoured as children Werewolf . Despite the geographic distance that may be, the attributes of lycanthrope remain quite the same.

Luis Royo

b. Attributes werewolf
Under his human form, the werewolf was supposed to have eyebrows that meet, palms of hands with hairy short thumbs and ears further back than normal. All pretenses of abnormality were good to take. Similarly some births are more likely to give a werewolf. The seventh child in a family for example would be a (return the number seven), children born of marriages forbidden, priests for example would turn every seven years or those born "capped" with the placenta head. When he does not run the forests, the werewolf would have hidden his fur between the skin and flesh, he would simply turn his skin to become a wolf.

The transformation itself is multiple beliefs. Sometimes he would roll in the sand or mud, or even jump over a tree trunk several times intoning an incantation. Several texts also mention a glove or a wolf skin belt with which to strike in order to metamorphose. A legend is more common to wear a wolf skin. While the person is in his animal form, many beliefs said that if the werewolf can not find his clothes when he returned to resume human form, he is condemned to remain a wolf.

Killed a werewolf is not easy, the silver bullet blessed is the most widespread and that seems safer. In the nineteenth century Picardy and in Gascony for example, it is enough to bleed the werewolf that the person be released from his curse.

The legend of the transformation to the full moon only occurs very rarely in ancient texts, often become werewolves at will or all seven days of the Sabbath following the curses received.

c. Its image in the collective mind
As for physical descriptions, the image of the werewolf in the collective psyche is in the same direction.
The werewolf has a reputation very similar to the wolf, plus a more human dimension. Associated with violence, brutality, the werewolf pulls down the barriers of human morality and yields to all the basic instincts that man has turned away. If the Middle Ages, the werewolf is seen as a creature of the devil, his image has evolved over time particularly. While we believed the real existence of these beings fear was complete, since the werewolf is passed to the rank of legendary creature, its perception by humans is different. From a psychological point of view with Freud's terms, the werewolf would be the representation of the domination of this on me whereas in humans it is called normal me overlooking the it. So there is a domination of the instinctive field (the id), with the werewolf as we have already seen, the social and moral censures are exceeded. The phenomenon of transformation can also be seen as a duplication of self.

In today's society, the vision of the werewolf is much more fantastical and less tinged with fear before. If the idea of carnivorous predator is still present, as well as violence, the idea of virility and fantasy outperforms. The werewolf is also predominantly male and have been introduced. There are certainly women werewolf but are much less present, moreover, the werewolf has its female counterpart is the nightmare.

In novels such as the current series Anita Blake from Laurell K. Hamilton, werewolves are haloed by brute force, the laws of the "pack" does not fit to human laws. In this type of novel, the werewolf is often associated with sexual desire and the play of domination. The reader finds all that the man usually censorship. The werewolf would be a sort of way to externalize the frustrations related to prohibitions imposed by society.

This theory is not only for our modern society but at the onset of the werewolf. The psychological challenge is very present in our time, but then that belief in the werewolf was real, it was conducted studies to explain this metamorphosis.

III. Other approaches werewolf

Many explanations were advanced underpins attempted to unravel the mystery of the werewolf. Witchcraft and Devil's intervention were the most widespread in the Middle Ages had the great belief in religion and therefore parallel to the forces of evil. Scholars have also examined the issue and early thirteenth century, Gervais of Tilbury proposes that the act had to some shock and lunation. The atavism, or inheritance, an explanation would also widespread.

a. Rational and scientific explanation
With advances in medicine, a disease could define these people turn into wolves, or at least into something similar. Recognized in 1682 by an edict of Louis XIV, lycanthropy, a person would be the victim of delusions that do believe it is transformed into a wolf or other wild animal. The person behaves like a wild beast, attacking humans and animals to feed upon them. Cases of feral children have also been listed. In the early seventeenth century, Jean Grenier a boy of thirteen years is accused of being a werewolf. Suffering from a mental disability, he lives in the forest as a wolf and have a facies approaching canids. He attacked dozens of people, and claimed to have eaten several children. Held, it is sent to a monastery had his young age. There he always behaves instinctively and despite some improvement will always keep track of its state of werewolf.

b. The figure of the werewolf in the arts
Being mystery, the werewolf raises many questions and the arts would take possession quickly.
A figure so popular could not pass to score the film or literature. The first film to be made on the werewolf is The werewolf Henry McRae in 1913. It follows a long series, whose most famous are among other Howling Joe Dante (1980) and American Werewolf in London by John Landis (1981) or The Company of Wolves by Neil Jordan (1984 ). Wolfman will be released in February 2010, a film by Joe Johnston, which shows that the craze for the werewolves is always present.
On screen, the moment the most anticipated is the processing step that fascinates and disgusts at a time. For American Werewolf in London is the main stage, we all see and that takes time, moreover, while in Howling , big plans are made and does not reveal everything. This mystery of metamorphosis haunts and adapts according to personal tastes. This applies even in contemporary literature where a sub-genre was born, the bit-bed which features supernatural creatures, mainly vampire and werewolf. In these novels that take their quick takeoffs, the werewolf is, as we have seen the target of fantasy, the struggle for power by brutality. In the novels by Laurell K. Hamilton or Patricia Briggs werewolves are mostly men who exude virility and fueling physical attraction. If the werewolves in movies by awakening the curiosity and fascination with the transformation nearly complete loss of humanity in contemporary literature that has to be a much more human and more symbolizes the struggle of man over beast. For example in the books by Patricia Briggs, one of the main characters, Adam Hauptman, the werewolf Alpha's mission is to help young recruits werewolves so they do not bloodshed. In these novels, werewolves are integrated in social life and sometimes the prey. They become characters closer to us instead to remain distant monsters.

Here inspration medieval dress I created to go to festivals. It is made from a pattern taken from: The medieval costume ed. Heimdal. Was wrong and magnet from a little free style, it is composed of four identical panels and a square neck (I do not think it is frankly historical).
She is fine wool, extra material to work with and very flexible, perfect for the fall of the dress. Chaisne with linen hard to tweak in my early sewing.

The animal situation (thank you to Roman for the photo) and in full:

The Great Horned

Read this comic on the devil inspired me a lot and here is what came out of my own vision of the Great Horned as they say below. The middle one was the first draft but it did not satisfy me, too old, not enough characterized. The Devil
final is one that revolves around it. A story about his life is to come if I can draw it.

Presentation of a comic, or rather a series of comics:

Tales of Korrigan

Published by Sun, the album together with several tales for a facetious Korrigan narrator and his companions. Through these stories faitent several hands (in fact are the main scriptwriter Ronan and Erwan Le Breton and there are several colorists and designers such as Jean-Luc Istin, Guy Michel, ...) we discover Brittany and its legends.
combining real and fantastic Celtic, his albums are little gems to be devoured again and again.
I own the second book: The Thousand Faces of Devil and I am in no way disappointed.
The fact that it is divided three or four stories easy to read and not too much headache. We can read the albums in the disorder without problem since each comic has a particular theme (eg the Devil, sirens, ...).

Free Psycometric Software

trance maenads

So Dionysus is the Greek god Bacchus who inspired in the Romans. Except it's far from a portly man, and lecherous drunkard to perfection, far away ... The Dionysos Greek
was born and the princess Semele Zeus who apparently maintained a fairly consistent association, which is rare for Zeus who usually does what he has to do and returns to his small business. As always Hera in jealous woman takes revenge and kills Semele by a ruse. It turns out to nurse of Semele and told him to ask Zeus to show himself in his true form to her. Hera knows that its true form is the lightning, and Semele dies struck. But the fetus carried the princess is still alive and sewn into Zeus's thigh the time. Thus was born Dionysus. While it is
child, the Titans (who are against Zeus) seduce him with toys and capture. He kills, cut into pieces, boiled and roasted and finally eats it. But, you say, you can not boil the meat and then roasting ... Relevant. And jsutement is an important detail that shows the revolt of the Titans who violates the laws of the customary rituals, moreover when we are not supposed to sacrifice eating meat. Good
Dionysus died then? Well, no. The Titans did not eat his heart and Apollo rescussite. It is passed through death which made him a deu closely linked to the death and rebirth / resurrection. It can therefore given answers as to what happens in death.
cults rendered to the deity are particularly violent, and several brave forbidden rituals and is therefore seen as dangerous because it is a challenge to the order. For example, animals were sacrificed (often deer or fawns) and were skinned alive and then eaten raw. The omophagy (the eating of raw meat) was strictly forbidden at the time and stay devoted a great respect for animals. They were thanked after being killed (like this reminds me something ...) and every part of their bodies were used. In the case of the cult of Dionysus is not the case and the blood flowed freely.
This is not the only ritual that is violated. In effect at the time cults are most often single-sex while here, women and men are together. Women are called Maenads. They have loose hair that is immoral (the married women had their hair shaved or tied in a complicated cutting), feet and forearms bare what was indescent. Besides, they wore big dresses with lots of trick (it runs well unfortunately) and had animal skins on their shoulders which is considered barbaric.
Added to all this, men and women drank wine to excess as the "fate of humanity" which is an important concept in Greek. They were therefore completely out of them. To access a sort of trance, maenads, in addition to wine chewed leaves of ivy which are hallucinogenic (um no attempt is apparently not recommended ^ ^).

In this state of trance maenads begin a dance that encoded Delavaud MH-Roux, an archaeologist (in Quimper that matter) tried to restore via illustrations and writings of the time , many of which Plato was incensed by the cult. Unfortunately the music could not be found, it would be played by double flutes that produce a sound very acute.
These dances (which became a fad in Greece) amplifies the effect of trance with sudden movements such as tilting the torso ... etc.. Heavy sexual connotations emerge from these dances, and often ended up naked maenads.
Most representations of this cult shows maenads and satyrs (they are the ones playing the music). The satyrs are hybrids, they are anthropomorphic, with a tail, very hairy (break with society, the Greeks were perfectly plucked and took great care of their bodies), erect and always moving, they sing, dance, ... etc.. The
maenads doors by hand is a thyrsus a stick with leaves of vines at the end (it will also be launched later reused in another context) and there are often snakes in their hair or wound on their arm. The snake represents the resurrection with its transformation.
must therefore accept that the cult kept to the sidelines at the time was particularly violent and did not correspond to any society and codes. Despite this, the dance will be back to perform at banquets and will, as stated above, a fad.
